Why does bleeding occur after sex?

Bleeding after sex is a common phenomenon, especially among women. There are many reasons for this problem. If it is your first sexual intercourse, bleeding is normal. If the bleeding is not excessive, there is no need to worry too much. If it is during pregnancy, then you have to be careful, it may be a threatened miscarriage. 1. Bleeding after first sexual intercourse:

On the wedding night, most brides will have a small amount of vaginal bleeding after their first sexual intercourse. This is caused by the tearing of the hymen. Cervical polyps: They are caused by chronic inflammatory stimulation, which leads to local hyperplasia of the cervical mucosa and gradual outward protrusion. They are bright red, soft and fragile, rich in blood, and can be easily ruptured during sexual intercourse, causing a small amount of bright red bleeding.

Cancer: If middle-aged and elderly people experience a small amount of vaginal bleeding after sexual intercourse, which is bright red and painless, and if their vaginal discharge increases recently and has a fishy odor, it is often an early symptom of cervical cancer. You should be vigilant and have a gynecological examination to rule out cancer.

Sexually transmitted diseases: a small amount of bright red vaginal bleeding after sexual intercourse, recent vulvar itching, small wart-like growths on the vulva or vaginal wall; if a man has similar growths on the foreskin of the glans penis, genital warts may be considered. Both men and women should go to the hospital for examination, diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible
