What happens when sperm enters a woman's body?

Sexual intercourse between husband and wife is the most wonderful thing, and a stage of sexual intercourse ends with male ejaculation. Many people are curious about what happens when a man's semen enters a woman's body. Let's take a closer look below.

Routine semen testing in clinical practice

It is an analysis of the semen that has just been discharged. The result is the initial state of the sperm before it "struggles" to fertilize the egg. It cannot actually reflect the process of the sperm entering the female body to "break through". The latter is the "actual combat" state that people most want to know. This "actual combat" state can be evaluated by testing the sperm function.

To understand the status of sperm in the female body

In order to further clarify the causes of infertility, people have studied the "post-coital test" that simulates the natural reproductive process. This experiment requires the participation of both men and women. Generally, sexual intercourse is chosen during a woman's ovulation period. 2-8 hours after sexual intercourse, secretions are collected from the posterior vaginal fornix and cervical mucus respectively to observe whether there are active sperm and the number of active sperm. The more active sperm there are, the more "receptive" the uterus and vagina are to sperm, and the stronger the sperm's own physical fitness is; conversely, it indicates that the female vagina or cervix has poor "receptivity" to sperm, or that the sperm quality is poor. In addition, this experiment can also indicate whether there is an environment in the female body that is not conducive to the survival of sperm, such as abnormal immune factors (anti-sperm antibodies) and local inflammation.

It can be seen that the sperm that appears lazy

It is difficult to say what state the semen is in after entering the female reproductive tract, so some "unconventional" phenomena occur, that is, the quality of the man's semen does not seem to be very good, or even very poor, but his spouse can get pregnant and have children one after another; and some men whose semen quality seems to be very strong may also encounter fertility embarrassment.

Specialists screened the quality of healthy semen of those who had already had children (for the purpose of storing sperm in sperm banks), but found that most of these men who were already fathers had poor semen quality, and some even had very bad semen quality. This fact fully demonstrates that when it comes to pregnancy, the woman's receptivity to male semen cannot be ignored.
