Safe period calculation method

Safe period calculation method

The safe period is mainly the first seven days of menstruation and the eight days after menstruation for adult women. It is mainly some calculation methods used by most people for contraception. In addition to counting by days, there are some basic body temperature methods and some calendar methods. They are also relatively common in daily life. It is mainly before the next menstruation. Therefore, the calculation in daily life is also relatively simple. It can be calculated by some other types.

There are mainly some menstrual cycle calculation methods, some calendar basal body temperature test methods and vaginal secretion observation methods. The main thing to note is that the monthly menstruation and the first day of the next month's menstruation are called a menstrual cycle.

The method of calculating ovulation according to the menstrual cycle is also called the calendar method. Both menstruation and ovulation are affected by endocrine hormones from the pituitary gland and ovaries and show cyclical changes. The length of their cycles is the same, both occurring once a month, and ovulation occurs between two menstrual periods. Women's menstrual cycles vary in length, but the interval between ovulation and the start of the next menstruation is relatively fixed, usually around 14 days. Based on this relationship between ovulation and menstruation, the ovulation period can be calculated according to the menstrual cycle. The calculation method is to count from the first day of the next menstrual period, and count down 14 days or subtract 14 days to get the ovulation day. The ovulation day and the 5 days before and 4 days after the ovulation day are called the ovulation period. This is the theoretical basis of the rhythm method of contraception. For example, a woman's menstrual cycle is 28 days, and the first day of this menstruation is December 2nd. Then the next menstruation will be on December 30th (December 2nd plus 28 days). Subtract 14 days from December 30th, and December 16th is the ovulation day. The ovulation day and the 5 days before and 4 days after it, that is, December 11-20, is the ovulation period. Except for the menstrual period and ovulation period, the rest of the time is the safe period. There is no need to use any contraceptive drugs or tools during sexual intercourse during the safe period.

If the calendar method uses an accurate menstrual cycle, the ovulation date may be the 14th day before the next menstrual period. After the egg is released, it can survive for about 2 to 5 days, and the sperm can survive for 1 to 3 days after entering the female reproductive tract. Therefore, it is easy to get pregnant if you have sexual intercourse 5 to 7 days before ovulation and 4 to 6 days after ovulation! Other dates are relatively safe.

For a woman with a regular menstrual cycle, the time of ovulation is basically stable. Having sexual intercourse during the safe period to achieve the purpose of contraception is called the safe period contraception method. This method is not suitable for young people because they cannot have sexual intercourse more than once a week. This method is suitable for middle-aged people.

The period from the beginning of this menstruation to the first day of the next menstruation is called a menstrual cycle. From the perspective of contraception, each menstrual cycle of women is divided into menstrual period, ovulation period and safe period. The calculation method is to count from the first day of the next menstrual period, and count down 14 days or subtract 14 days to get the ovulation day. The ovulation day and the 5 days before and 4 days after the ovulation day are called the ovulation period.

The above is the calculation method of the safe period. The main thing to note is that the monthly menstruation and the first day of the next month's menstruation are called a menstrual cycle. So from this aspect, everyone’s menstrual cycle is different. It is mainly a traditional contraceptive method and is not necessarily effective in the long term, so we still need to take timely contraceptive measures in daily life.
