Study on the relationship between buttocks and one-night stands

In order to figure out the relationship between butt size and one-night stands, researchers conducted some research. The researchers defined wide hips as those with a hip distance greater than 14.2 inches (36 cm) and small hips as those less than 12.2 inches (31 cm). It measures the distance between the tops of the ilium bones in the pelvis - the greatest distance between the hip bones - not the circumference of the hips. The 148 women in the study - aged between 18 and 26 - also had their hips and waist circumference measured at the narrowest point.

All women had at least one previous sexual partner. They also completed a questionnaire about their sexual history, including age at first intimacy, number of sexual partners, and information about relationships that were important to them.

Study finds big butts make one-night stands more likely

Through research, it was found that women with wide hips are more likely to have one-night stands. Specifically, women who had one-night stands three-quarters of their relationships had hips that were at least 1.8 inches (2 centimeters) wider than those who had few one-night stands. Women with wider hips have more sexual partners than those with smaller hips (under 31 cm) because childbirth is easier and less traumatic for them. The width of a woman's hips has a direct impact on her risk of potentially fatal childbirth-related injuries. It seems that when women regulate their sexual behavior, their actions reflect this risk consideration. Therefore, a woman's sexual behavior is at least partly influenced by hip width.

Narrowing of the hips after upright walking

When humans learned to walk upright , their hips gradually became narrower to facilitate walking. In the process, women's hips became just wide enough to allow reproduction. Because of this limitation, human fetuses are born less fully developed than in most other primates, so babies require considerable care and investment from their parents after birth. It is impossible to draw a conclusion through this survey that women with big butts have more one-night stands, but it is true that babies need a lot of care from their parents after birth, and children can only walk after they are about one year old.

Finally, it is still unclear whether women with big butts are more likely to have one-night stands, but the main reason for one-night stands is still themselves.
