How to prevent pregnancy during the safe period

The so-called safe period for women means that women do not ovulate during this period. Therefore, during this period of time, men and women do not need to take contraceptive measures when having sexual intercourse, and pregnancy will not occur. The simplest and most traditional way of saying it is that a woman's safe period is from seven days before her period to eight days after her period. This is how most people calculate the safe period.

However, because women sometimes do not ovulate on time, it may come a few days earlier or a few days later. In this case, the above-mentioned safe period judgment is meaningless. Judging the safe period can only relatively reduce the possibility of pregnancy. In addition to the calendar method for calculating the safe period, there are usually basal body temperature calculation methods and vaginal secretion observation methods.

Basal body temperature refers to the body temperature when people just wake up in the morning. Generally speaking, the body temperature at this time is the lowest in the day. When a woman ovulates, her body temperature will rise rapidly and continue until the beginning of the next menstrual cycle. The changing pattern of a woman's basal body temperature can be used to accurately find her ovulation date. Avoid sexual intercourse three to four days before ovulation and five to seven days after ovulation.

Female vaginal secretions will have regular changes in different periods of the menstrual cycle. During the ovulation period, the secretions in the female vagina will increase, there will be a noticeable dampness, the mucus will become clear and can be drawn. The last day when this kind of mucus appears is basically the ovulation day. Do not have sexual intercourse three to four days before this day and five to seven days after this day. For effective contraception.

It should be noted that safe period contraception is only suitable for women with regular menstruation and couples living together for a long time. For newlyweds with strong sexual desire and couples who are separated for a long time due to illness, psychological factors, mental state, or safe period contraception is not very safe. So, to be on the safe side, the best contraceptive method is to have male friends wear condoms.
