How does a man's body odor affect a woman?

Some American scientists who are engaged in the study of human body odor have discovered that when men sweat in their armpits and other parts of their body, they can secrete a substance called "androstenone". The special smell contained in this substance is comparable to the traditional Chinese medicine musk.

Researchers used sponges to collect odors from men's armpits, dissolved them in a certain concentration of alcohol, and then applied them to the lips of a group of girls with irregular menstruation. They continued to follow up and observe, and found that the vast majority of them, who had previously been unable to cure their irregular menstruation, were miraculously cured.

They also found that women who had sex at least once a week had more normal menstruation and were less likely to suffer from infertility and menopausal symptoms than unmarried women or women who had very little sex. Although this is related to the fact that a harmonious sex life stimulates the endocrine regulatory function, the unique role of male odor in maintaining women's health is also an important factor.
