Can I have sex before my IUD is removed?

You cannot have sex before the IUD is removed.

Reasons for not having sex a few days before removing the ring:

1. Women are not allowed to have sex before removing the IUD, because removing the IUD will inevitably cause trauma to the uterus. If they have sex before removing the IUD, bacteria can easily enter the wound and cause infection.

2. Removing the IUD is an intrauterine operation. If you have had sexual intercourse before, there is a possibility of pregnancy. Although the IUD is installed, if you are pregnant, removing the IUD is an improper operation. Therefore, you need to not have sex after the menstruation is over. Go to the hospital on the third day to check the routine leucorrhea. If it is normal, you can remove the IUD.

Things to note after removing the ring:

1. On the day after the IUD is removed, you may experience mild lower abdominal discomfort, back pain, or a small amount of vaginal bleeding.

(Note: If the amount of vaginal bleeding after surgery exceeds the amount of menstruation, or the bleeding continues after half a month, or the abdominal pain is severe, please go to the hospital for a follow-up visit immediately.)

2. After removing the IUD, be sure to take appropriate amounts of anti-infection and hemostatic drugs, which will help the woman's body recover as soon as possible.

3. After removing the IUD, you should rest for one day. Avoid sexual intercourse and taking a bath in a basin within two weeks to prevent infection.

4. After the removal of the IUD, there may be a small amount of vaginal bleeding or bloody leucorrhea, which will disappear naturally in a day or two. This is caused by the stimulation of the endometrium and cervix by the removal of the IUD, and is a normal phenomenon.

5. After removing the IUD, it is generally best to wait until 2 to 3 normal menstruations before starting pregnancy work, so that the endometrium has time to recover.
