Genital warts are a disease that must be popularized. Genital warts currently account for a relatively large proportion of the total population. Many patients do not have a comprehensive understanding of genital warts, so that they cannot find the correct solution during the treatment process. The occurrence of genital warts includes unclean sexual behavior, lack of attention to personal hygiene, and misuse of other people's personal belongings, which are all factors that lead to genital warts. 1. Unclean sexual behavior. Experts point out that the more sexual partners a person has, the higher the chance of contracting the disease. The incidence and recurrence rates of genital warts among male sex workers are higher than those among prostitutes and homosexuals. The incidence and recurrence rates of those who first had sexual intercourse before the age of 19 were higher than those of others. Women younger than 25 years of age have an increased risk of developing anogenital warts. 2. Impaired immune function. For patients with malignant tumors, lupus erythematosus, kidney transplantation, chemotherapy, or the use of glucocorticoids, the risk of developing and recurring genital warts increases exponentially, and the warts also become larger. 3. Marital status. The chance of recurrence increases for men who are divorced, separated, widowed, unmarried, or have an unhappy marital life due to increased high-risk sexual behavior. Improper use of condoms during sexual intercourse may also increase the incidence and recurrence of this disease. If men do not wear condoms during sexual intercourse, or if women only use barrier contraceptive methods (such as female condoms, contraceptive diaphragms, cervical caps) and oral contraceptives, the chances of developing and recurring genital warts will increase. 4. Smoking and drinking. Because smoking and drinking can reduce the body's immune function. Some investigations have found that people who have smoked for more than ten years have a significantly increased chance of recurrence of genital warts. Moreover, alcohol can inhibit the central nervous system, reduce anxiety, increase sexual desire and prostitution, and increase the number of sexual partners. At the same time, the use of condoms decreases after drinking, violent sexual behavior increases, and the chance and degree of genital injury increase, which also increases the incidence and recurrence rate of the disease. 5. Other sexually transmitted diseases. Such as genital herpes, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, herpes simplex, HIV, fungal infections, etc., by destroying the mucosal barrier, the ability to resist infection is reduced, and the local environment of the genitals becomes moist, which is conducive to the reproduction and growth of the virus. The coexistence of multiple sexually transmitted diseases or other viral and fungal infections greatly reduces the body's disease resistance, and the chances of developing and recurring genital warts increase exponentially. |
